Leaving Whitstable we head north east for around 13.5 nautical miles, passing directly through the Kentish flats windfarm on our way to the first stop, the Knock John Navy Fort, taking a look up close you can almost touch the structure, we will be here for around 20 minutes before heading to the Shivering Sand Army Forts, which are more weathered and heavily damaged, we get as close as safely possible, again around 15 minutes for some pictures and a chat before heading west to the Red Sand Army Forts, same thing around 15 mins on location before we return to Whitstable.

Being further offshore this trip has the added advantage of not only the last 3 remaining Maunsell forts in the Thames estuary but also Dolphins and seals are not uncommon.

This trip is certainly not for the faint hearted, it can get a bit choppy if the wind is blowing, but we will never operate if its considered unsafe, you will be onboard for around 3 hours, there are tea, coffee, soft drinks provided on this trip only- but bring something to eat with you! - there is seating inside and out, and a toilet.

Due to the nature of this trip pre payment in full is required as it will only be a limited number of days per season.
